Welcome to TRTP Clinic, where we are dedicated to helping you resolve trauma and reclaim your life.
TRTP (The Richards Trauma Process) is a revolutionary approach to trauma therapy that offers healing for individuals facing various degrees of trauma. The process was created by Judith Richards from her need to resolve her own CPTSD.
Trauma is not what happens to us, it’s what happens inside of us as a result of what happens to us.
The causes of trauma range from significant life events to more subtle, everyday experiences that leave a lasting impact.
The symptoms of trauma are overwhelm, anxiety, depression, PTSD and more.
Whether you have faced major trauma or are dealing with the cumulative effects of smaller, ongoing stressors, TRTP is designed to address and resolve these issues effectively, quickly and safely without the need to retell and relive the events.
Often, people consider trauma as major events, often aggressive or abusive. But it is not limited to this: TRTP views anxiety, depression, PTSD and other related issues as symptoms of trauma
TRTP is a unique and powerful therapeutic approach that focuses on resolving trauma, rather than symptom management. It was developed by Judith Richards, from a deep understanding of the human experience of trauma. TRTP is grounded in the knowledge that trauma can be resolved quickly and effectively, without the need for prolonged therapy.
Foundational to the TRTP process is compassion and connection. TRTP offers a space of non-judgement and safety. You’ll be met where you are, with care.
Step 1 focuses on you achieving a place of empowerment, regaining a sense of agency over your life.
In this first step you’ll also discover the underlying causes of unconscious self-sabotage, how it impacts and how to take control of it. Learn how to program your mind so that it works with you, not against you.
In Step 2 TRTP helps to rewire the brain’s response to trauma. By accessing the unconscious mind, the process allows you to release the emotional charge associated with negative events, which resolves anxiety, depression etc.
TRTP works directly with the unconscious mind, not the cognitive, and this is why TRTP works so effectively – because our memories are not stored in the cognitive/conscious mind.
Step 3 of TRTP involves integrating the changes and reinforcing the new, healthier experience of ‘self’, and patterns of thinking, emotion and behaviour. This stage ensures that your healing is long term and that you can move forward with confidence and resilience.
TRTP is suitable for those seeking to resolve trauma and trauma-related issues of anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc. regardless of the severity or nature of their experiences. Whether you are dealing with:
Such as accidents, assaults, or natural disasters.
Including ongoing abuse, neglect, or long-term stress
Like work-related stress, relationship issues, or minor incidents that have accumulated over time.
TRTP can help you find relief and healing. Our approach is compassionate and tailored to meet your unique needs, ensuring that you feel supported throughout your journey.
Faster results Vs long-term psychotherapy – TRTP is created to be completed in 3-steps.
No Reliving Trauma – There is no need for the traumatic events to be retold.
Lasting Impact – TRTP has been created to resolve trauma rather than simply manage the symptoms.
The best way to find out if TRTP is right for you is to book an initial discovery call with one of our practitioners. They will provide you with information on how TRTP works, and if it is a match for your individual needs.
Unlike a number of therapies that don’t necessarily have an end date – TRTP is a structured 3-step process, It requires 3 steps so you can’t just opt in for 1 session. The total cost of TRTP is often much less that other therapies that require long term assistance, but with TRTP the objective is to resolve the issues rather than just manage the symptoms.
Read our practitioners bio’s to find a practitioner who resonates with you personally. Book an initial discovery call where you will be able to connect and make a final decision.
TRTP will normally be completed in 3 x 2hr sessions each spread one week apart. In rare circumstances some clients may need some additional time and this will normally be addressed directly with your practitioner.
